Connect Sequence so Cortena Accounts Receivable stays aligned with your Sequence customers, products, billing schedules (subscriptions), and sent invoices. Optional write-back can push payment status and a few invoice fields back to Sequence.
1. Connect Sequence
- Open Settings → Integrations → Billing → Sequence.
- Enter your Sequence API credentials and save.
- Confirm the integration shows as connected.
Ask Cortena Support if Sequence is not visible. Your workspace may need the Sequence feature enabled.
2. What syncs
| Domain | What Cortena imports |
|---|---|
| Customers | Sequence customers into AR customers |
| Products | Catalog products |
| Subscriptions | Billing schedules |
| Invoices | Sent / final / voided invoices (drafts in Sequence are skipped) |
Synced receivables are marked as coming from an external source. Cortena does not re-run the full “issue invoice” workflow for those documents; you can still apply payments and match bank transactions.
Use Sync now per domain (or sync all) after connect. Progress updates live in the Settings panel.
3. Optional write-back
When write-back is enabled (feature flag and the Settings toggle):
| Change in Cortena | Sent to Sequence |
|---|---|
| Payment applied | Payment status on the Sequence invoice |
| Due date, memo, PO, reference | Patch on the sent invoice |
Leave write-back off if Sequence should stay the only place that updates those fields.
Tips and limitations
- Spreadsheet AR sync does not soft-delete Sequence-owned rows (feeder ids are namespaced).
- Sequence bank sync and creating invoices in Sequence from Cortena drafts are out of scope for this integration.
