On New invoice, click the upload note or drop a PDF. Cortena extracts customer and lines into a draft while the list shows the invoice as processing.
1. Upload
- Open Receivables → Invoices → New invoice.
- Click the note at the top or drop a PDF onto the create screen.
- The invoice appears in the list immediately as Processing. You can open it while extraction runs; the detail pane shows the same translucent processing overlay as payables.
2. What extraction fills
| Field | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Invoice number | Number printed on the document (not the Receivables number sequence) |
| Customer | Extracted recipient: match by VAT, then unique name; otherwise Cortena creates a customer |
| Lines | Match products by code or unique name; other lines stay custom |
The uploaded PDF stays the draft preview. When you later issue, Cortena still produces the legal issued PDF as usual. If the file is not already an e-invoice, issuing can offer to add e-invoice data without redrawing the pages.
3. Finish the draft
- When extraction finishes, the draft editor opens.
- On a custom line, use Save as product to add it to the catalog and link the line.
- Complete customer, VAT, and workflow steps as for any receivable draft.
If your AR workflow has a Manual upload step connected to Assign invoice tenant, matching recipient rules can move the draft to the right entity before the workflow continues.
Tips and limitations
- Extraction for receivables does not run payable booking-account matching.
