Connect live bank accounts through Open banking (powered by Yapily) so Cortena can sync balances and transactions for the currently selected workspace · the same data you use on Banking for reconciliation and payment matching.
Related: Banks and data exchange, FinAPI.
1. Where to connect
- Select the correct workspace in the account menu (bank data never mixes across tenants).
- Open Settings → Integrations → Banking (or Bank Data Exchange when Open banking is shown there).
- Find the Open banking card · Connect bank accounts via Yapily for transaction sync.
- Choose your bank’s country, then click Connect bank.
Cortena uses Yapily to retrieve, store, and reconcile balances and transactions for that tenant only.
2. Consent and account selection
- You are redirected to your bank’s secure consent flow (PSD2).
- Approve access for the accounts you want in Cortena.
- After success, connected accounts appear under Banking for that tenant.
- Use Sync now (or wait for scheduled sync) to pull new transactions.
If consent expires, Cortena prompts you to reconfirm or extend access from the connection row in settings.
3. Using synced data on Banking
- Open Banking while the intended workspace is selected.
- Pick one or more bank accounts (Open banking accounts appear next to spreadsheet or FinAPI accounts when configured).
- Review the transaction list and open the Match pane to link payments to payables, receivables, or payment advices.
Each API call and list is scoped to the active tenant · switching tenants in the menu switches all banking data.
4. Open banking vs other bank sources
| Source | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Open banking (Yapily) | Live EUR/UK and other supported banks via consent |
| Bank spreadsheet | Manual CSV/Sheet import under Bank Data Exchange |
| FinAPI | Treasury Payments and SEPA authorize flows (see FinAPI) |
You can use more than one source on the same tenant; accounts are labeled by provider in Banking.
Tips and limitations
- You need permission to view Banking for the tenant; connections are never shared across workspaces.
- Institution availability depends on Yapily and your bank · not every branch or account type is supported.
- Disconnect removes future sync; historical transactions already imported remain until you clear them per product rules.
- For matching invoices to transactions, use Banking and your bank reconciliation workflow.
