Aggregated export lines

Export Mode Aggregated sends one row per account + BU + tax rate; invoice Aggregated view matches the worker.

When accounting export mode is Aggregated, Cortena sends one row per account + business unit + tax rate, not every invoice line. The invoice detail Aggregated view shows the same stored rows the export worker uses.

1. Set export mode

  1. Open Settings → Accounting preferences.
  2. Under Export Mode, choose Aggregated (By account + BU code + tax rate) (or keep Detailed (Individual items)).
  3. Save.

Detailed mode remains available for tenants that need one export row per line item.

2. Review on the invoice

  1. Open a payable or expense with a line grid.
  2. Use Line export view: Line items | Aggregated.
  3. When the tenant mode is Aggregated, the Aggregated tab is what Cortena sends. A banner states that this is what goes to the accounting system.
  4. While sync runs you may see Refreshing aggregated export lines…. Editing line items updates the aggregated view after sync.

If the tenant is still on Detailed, Aggregated is preview only. Change export mode under Accounting preferences to send aggregated rows.

3. Manual edits

If you manually change aggregated rows, saving line items may warn that saving will overwrite those manual changes. Confirm only when you intend to rebuild from lines.

Older invoices synced before aggregated storage may show that historical aggregated data is unavailable. Reprocess or contact Support if you need a backfill.
