# DATEV Rechnungswesen

Connect and post booking-ready batches to DATEV RW.

For tenants using **DATEV Rechnungswesen** (desktop / on-premise stack), Cortena exports **Buchungsstapel** files in **EXTF** format, including SKR chart mapping, creditor creation, and correction (storno) flows.

**Who this is for:** German finance teams and tax advisors who import Cortena payables into DATEV RW rather than DATEV Unternehmen Online (DUo).

## 1. DATEV RW vs DATEV DUo

| Product | Cortena integration |
| --- | --- |
| **DATEV Unternehmen Online (DUo)** | Cloud upload. See [Connecting accounting](https://help.cortena.ai/guides/get-started/connecting-accounting). |
| **DATEV Rechnungswesen (RW)** | **EXTF Buchungsstapel** file download |

Confirm with your advisor which product you use before configuring Settings.

## 2. SKR chart and export file

1. Connect credentials in **Settings → Integrations → DATEV Rechnungswesen**.
2. Set **SKR03** or **SKR04** (and related options) to match your DATEV mandate.
3. Align accounts and tax keys, then run a pilot export and validate in DATEV.

Export from Payables produces an **EXTF** batch file your advisor imports into RW. Preview in Cortena shows accounts and amounts before download.

The Buchungsstapel is assigned in DATEV to the **posting month** of the export (not the calendar year-end). Invoice document dates on the booking lines stay the invoice date.

## 3. Creditor creation in REWE

When a supplier does not exist in DATEV, Cortena can include **new creditor (Kreditor)** records in the export package so REWE creates them on import, subject to your workflow and tenant policy.

Verify creditor numbers in export preview match your Stammdaten expectations.

## 4. Corrections and storno

Wrong export to RW? When **Cancel booking after sync** is enabled on the export workflow step, Synced is soft-final:

1. Open the synced invoice → workflow strip → **Cancel booking** (Generalumkehr storno).
2. After storno succeeds, the invoice returns to **Ready to sync** / Export to accounting. Edit booking as needed.
3. **Send correction** (Korrektur-prefixed Buchungsstapel). The workflow marks Synced again.

Your advisor should import storno before the replacement batch. Activity log records both exports.

## 5. Delivery date (Leistungsdatum)

When feature **DATEV RW EXTF Leistungsdatum** is on, payable detail shows **Delivery date** (DE: Leistungsdatum). Edit it on the invoice or set it with the workflow step **Set invoice date**. The stored value is what EXTF export can include. Keep it aligned before you download the Buchungsstapel.

Dedicated guides: [Delivery date (Leistungsdatum) on invoices](https://help.cortena.ai/guides/invoices/delivery-date), [Set invoice date (workflow)](https://help.cortena.ai/guides/workflows/set-invoice-date).

## 6. RDS and permissions

DATEV **RDS** (cloud middleware) requires correct permissions on the DATEV side. If import fails with RDS errors, contact [support](https://help.cortena.ai/guides/support/how-to-get-help) with the error text and Mandant details.
